product details
In 1990, an advanced technology light scattering photometer was developed to replace outdated instruments that could not detect the high protection factor provided by new gas mask designs. The laser photometer 8587A was developed at that time and is still used to test filter efficiency today. The 8587A laser photometer is designed specifically for mask quality certification and filter material testing. It uses a reliable and durable diode laser to provide a stable laser source that can be used for a long time without attenuation. The unique sheath gas protection system can keep the detection light room clean and have very low background noise, so the 8587A requires almost no maintenance.
The reliability of the design and use of 8587A has been validated by US government laboratories for over 10 years. It is particularly suitable for laboratory testing of mask filtration efficiency and filter material filtration efficiency. The control command for 8587A is very simple, and it can easily meet the requirements of testing procedures and data management using LabVIEW software. Therefore, it is very convenient for users to design and build a mask and filter material filtration efficiency testing platform on their own.
The 8587A model can also be used in HEPA filter scanning systems to detect the penetration rate of large high-efficiency filter components.
